Commercialising Nature’s 2-Stage Energy Recovery Process

OWMS mirrors Nature’s 2-Stage Energy Recovery process - combining Bio-Tech and Thermochemical Conversion.

Black Soldier Fly larvae bio-convert nutrients, in waste, into recoverable Energy (protein, growth supplements, etc), before the remaining bio-mass is Thermochemically converted into Direct Energy (Bio-Oils/ Green Hydrogen).

Higher Energy Recovery – Lower Environmental Impact

By combining these processes, OWMS recovers significantly more of the true Energy Value of hard-to-manage organic waste - at Lower Impact, than alternatives.

Recovering more Energy from Organic Waste, Naturally

BSF BioConversion

BSF larvae recycle nutrient energy, trapped in the biomass, into growth – while significantly reducing the volume.

We then harvest the larvae, and recover this Indirect Energy, in the form of Protein, or other Recovered Resources.

Resource Recovery decisions are based on the type of waste, and local technoeconomic data.

ThermoChemical Conversion

Remaining biomass is treated using BioMass Conditioning technology, before being Pyrolysised – to recover Direct Energy in the form of BioOils, which can be converted to Green Hydrogen.

BioChar, recovered from the Pyrolysis process, offsets the extremely low emissions, for a Carbon Negative process.
